The best AI social media content generators in 2026, ranked with real prices
The best AI social media content generators in 2026, ranked for businesses with prices read on 9 October 2026: which ones write captions, which design posts, and which make finished posts from your website and publish them.
On this page
The best AI social media content generator in 2026 depends on how much of the post you want made for you. We rank Postdom, Canva, Predis.ai, Buffer, Ocoya, Simplified, Jasper, Hootsuite and Pomelli. Postdom is our pick for a business: it reads your website, makes finished slideshows, short videos and single images in your brand, and posts the ones you approve. Most of the others write the caption or help you design the post, and you do the rest.
Last checked: 9 October 2026. We read the pricing and feature pages of every tool on 9 October 2026, plus Postdom's pricing page. Where a price was not shown in US dollars or differed between two places on the vendor's site, we say so. Prices are in US dollars, before tax.
Postdom publishes this guide and sells one of the products in it. We put our product first, and we say plainly where another tool is the better pick.
An AI social media content generator is a tool that uses AI to make social media posts: the caption, the image, the slideshow or the short video. Postdom is an AI social media tool that turns your website into short videos, slideshows and image posts in your brand, then schedules and publishes them to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and more. You approve what goes out, and it learns from your edits and views. AI agents connect through MCP.
How we chose
- Finished output. Does it make a post you can publish, or only part of one?
- Your brand. Does it know your business, from your website or a brand kit, or do you explain it every time?
- Formats. Captions, images, slideshows (often called carousels) and short videos.
- Publishing. Can it post to TikTok, Instagram and your other accounts, or do you download and upload?
- Price and free option. The cheapest paid plan and what you can do for $0, from each vendor's own page.

1. Postdom: best for finished posts made from your website
Postdom is an AI social media tool that turns your website into short videos, slideshows and posts, then publishes them. Postdom starts from your website address. It reads your main pages and builds a Brand Kit with your logo, colours, fonts, products, prices and tone, and each fact links to the page it came from, so you can check and edit it. Then it keeps making posts: slideshows with text set the way TikTok and Instagram set it, short videos with text on screen and music, and single images. Each one comes with a caption.
You approve, edit or reject each post, and by default nothing posts until you approve it. Approved posts go to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky and Snapchat, at about 9am and 7pm in your time zone. Postdom learns from what you approve, edit and reject, and from what performs.
Not a fit: Postdom does not give you a design canvas to move every element, and it does not write long-form copy like blog posts or emails. If you want to design each post by hand, Canva fits better. If you only need captions, Buffer's free plan is enough.
Price: Free is $0. Starter is $39 a month for 30 posts on 3 accounts, Growth $99 for 60 posts on 10 accounts, Scale $229 for 150 posts and Pro $399 for 300 posts. Annual billing gives 2 months free. Read more in what Postdom is.
2. Canva: best for designing posts yourself
Canva is the design tool most businesses already know. Its AI tools for content creation, long sold as Magic Studio and now branded Canva AI (Magic Write, Magic Layers and others), write captions, generate images and resize designs, and the template library is huge. The Free plan includes up to 20 AI uses. Pro is $144 a year for one person on Canva's US pricing page; the monthly price was not shown in US dollars when we checked, 9 October 2026.
Canva's Content Planner, on Pro, schedules to Facebook Pages, Instagram business accounts, X, LinkedIn and Pinterest. It does not schedule organic TikTok posts, and you design every post yourself. Pick Canva when you want full creative control and have the time to use it.
3. Predis.ai: best for many formats in one tool
Predis.ai makes reels, slideshows, single-image posts, memes and ads from a prompt, and turns a product link into a product video. Core is $24 a month billed yearly, with 1,300 credits and 1 brand. Auto-posting starts on Rise at $55 a month billed yearly, and Predis.ai takes a card to start its 3-day free period (Predis.ai pricing page, read 9 October 2026).
It is a good fit for a marketer who wants lots of creative variety and will review it. It does not read your whole website. Compare it in Predis.ai alternatives.
4. Buffer: best free scheduler with an AI writer
Buffer is a scheduler with an AI Assistant that writes, rewrites and repurposes captions. The Free plan covers 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user, with the AI Assistant included. Essentials is $5 a channel a month billed yearly (Buffer pricing page, read 9 October 2026). Buffer posts to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and more.
Buffer's AI helps with words only. You make the images and videos yourself. See Buffer alternatives.
5. Ocoya: best for captions and graphics across many networks
Ocoya writes post copy, makes AI images and has a design studio. Starter is $29 a month for 5 social profiles, 1 user and 300 AI credits, and it publishes to more than 20 networks, including Threads, Bluesky and YouTube Shorts. There is no free plan, only a 7-day free period (Ocoya pricing page, read 9 October 2026). See Ocoya alternatives.
6. Simplified: best all-in-one creative suite
Simplified bundles an AI writer, image and video tools, ad sets and a scheduler for 7 social accounts on Starter. Its pricing page showed Starter as both $59 and $79 a month on 9 October 2026, so check before you buy. There is no free plan. It suits a marketer who wants many tools under one login. See Simplified alternatives.
7. Jasper: best for on-brand copy at scale
Jasper is an AI writer for marketing teams, with Brand Voices, knowledge assets and marketing agents. Pro is $69 a seat a month, or $59 billed yearly, after a 7-day free period (Jasper pricing page, read 9 October 2026). It does not publish posts and does not make slideshows or videos, so you pair it with a scheduler and a design tool.
8. Hootsuite: best for teams that need an inbox and AI
Hootsuite is a full social media management suite: scheduling, an inbox, listening and analytics, with AI post and image generation now branded Wisdom. Plans start at $99 a month, per Hootsuite's plans page FAQ, after a 14-day free period (read 9 October 2026). It suits teams managing many accounts and conversations. You still make the media. See Hootsuite alternatives.
9. Pomelli: best free experiment for on-brand images
Pomelli is a free Google Labs experiment. It reads your website to build a "Business DNA", then makes on-brand campaign images, product photos and short animations. It is English only and has no scheduling; direct Instagram publishing is reported by third parties but not described on Google's own pages (Google Labs help, read 9 October 2026). It is a good free way to get images, not a way to run your accounts. See Pomelli alternatives.
Also considered: Copy.ai ($29 a month, text only, no publishing) and ChatGPT or Claude on their own, which write good captions but do not design, schedule or post. For creator-style videos with AI people, see the best AI UGC tools.
AI social media post generator
An AI social media post generator turns a prompt, a link or your website into a post. There are three kinds, and the difference decides how much work is left for you.
- Caption writers. Buffer's AI Assistant, Jasper, Copy.ai and Hootsuite write the words. You make the visual and post it.
- Design generators. Canva, Predis.ai, Simplified and Ocoya make the visual from a prompt or template. You review it and usually schedule it in the same tool.
- Website-to-post generators. Postdom (and, for images only, Pomelli) start from your website, so the post talks about your real services, prices and location. Postdom also posts it.
If you are tired of explaining your business to a chatbot every time, start with a tool that reads your website once. Try it on the AI social media post generator page.
AI Instagram post generator
For Instagram, the best AI Instagram post generator makes the formats Instagram rewards: slideshows (Instagram calls them carousels), Reels and single images, sized 4:5 or 9:16. Canva gives you the most design control. Predis.ai makes Reels and slideshows from a prompt. Postdom makes slideshows, Reels-ready short videos and single images from your website, writes the caption, and posts them to your Instagram account after you approve.
One check before you choose: whether the tool can post to Instagram directly. Canva, Buffer, Ocoya, Hootsuite and Postdom can. Jasper and Copy.ai cannot. Read our guide to making an Instagram carousel for sizes and steps.
Free AI social media post generator
Four tools here give you a free AI social media post generator to keep using, not just a free period. Buffer Free gives 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel with its AI Assistant. Canva Free gives up to 20 AI uses, without scheduling. Postdom Free gives 1 post a month on 2 accounts on any platform, no card, made from your website and posted after you approve. Pomelli is free too, as a Google Labs experiment.
Free periods are different: Predis.ai (3 days, card required), Ocoya and Jasper (7 days) and Hootsuite (14 days) stop when the period ends.
