Instagram carousel maker that writes the slides too
This Instagram carousel maker writes and designs a finished 4 to 6 slide carousel from your website or a topic. Pick a style, and download the slides as PNGs or a ZIP, ready to post.
Make a carousel
We write the slides in our house style and draw them with the same renderer Postdom uses for its customers.
Free. No sign-up. A few free carousels a day. Each slide carries a small Postdom mark at the bottom.
Free Instagram carousel maker
You choose two things: what it's about and how it looks. The writing and the design are done for you, so every carousel follows the rules that made Postdom's own research.
- 1
Your website or a topic
We read your homepage once, or use the topic you type. The writer uses only what's there and invents no clients, prices or results.
- 2
Slides in our house style
A cover that opens a loop, two to four slides that close it, and a soft last slide. Never a question, never a hard sell.
- 3
Drawn and ready to post
Every slide is 1080 by 1350 pixels, a 4:5 portrait that Instagram shows uncropped in the feed. Download one slide or all of them.
Two carousel template styles
Both are approved Postdom slideshow styles that stand on their own without a photo. Postdom's photo styles use photos made for each business, so they live in the app, not in this free tool.
- Colour card. Words on a solid colour, no photo.
- Phone note. Looks like a note on a phone.
Colour card uses your website's main colour for its accent when your homepage declares one.
What makes a carousel work
- Open a loop. Promise a list, steps or a reveal that the later slides deliver. Hooks that opened a loop did 2.8 times as well as the account's median.
- Four, not three. Three items is too few to swipe for, so a list carousel here always has four.
- Questions: 0.78x. Hooks phrased as questions did worse than the account's median, so the writer never writes one.
- Pitching: 0.59x. Hooks that pitched the business did worst of all. The business stays out of the cover.
From Postdom's research on 1,018 TikTok photo posts and 105 Instagram carousels, each compared with its own account's median views.
Questions about the carousel maker
Is this Instagram carousel maker free?
Yes. You can make a few carousels a day without signing up. The slides are yours to post. Each one carries a small Postdom mark at the bottom.
Can I edit the slides?
Not here. This is a maker, not a design editor: you pick the subject and the style, and Postdom writes and draws the slides. If you want changes, try another topic or style.
What size are the slides?
1080 by 1350 pixels, a 4:5 portrait. Instagram shows it uncropped in the feed, and it takes up more of the screen than a square.
How many slides does it make?
Four to six: a cover, two to four slides that deliver what the cover promised, and a last slide with a takeaway or a save prompt.
Why no photos?
Postdom's photo styles use photos made for each business, which this free tool doesn't make. The two styles here are designed to work without a photo.
Does it work for TikTok too?
These slides are 4:5, made for Instagram. Postdom's app also makes slideshows in TikTok's 3:4 size.
