Reel counts are Instagram's own, for all time, as shown on its audio page on the day in brackets. An empty cell is a count Instagram did not show.

These are the Instagram trends this week, checked on Instagram every Monday: what people are doing in Reels, the audio they use with Instagram's own count of reels using it, and a real public Reel for each. Every count carries the day it was read.

Postdom, the AI social media tool, makes these trends for your business: enter your website and it writes and makes the Reels in your brand, then posts the ones you approve. Posting on TikTok too? See TikTok trends this week.

Each card says what happens in the trend, the audio it rides, how a business can use it, and links to a public example Reel from an account with at least 10,000 followers.

7 Instagram trends we checked this week, each with a real public Reel, the audio it uses and how many reels use that audio.

Counts are as Instagram showed them on the day we checked, and cover all time, not just this week. Example Reels come from accounts with at least 10,000 followers and open on Instagram.

The Reels audio we saw most this week, with Instagram's own count of reels using each one. Audio marked Trending is what Instagram itself labels trending.

Read on Instagram's audio pages on 30 Oct 2026. Business accounts can use only the audio Instagram offers them: check it appears in the audio picker before you plan a Reel around it.

Instagram marks some Reels audio as Trending with a small arrow next to its name, in the Reels audio picker and on the audio's own page. That page also shows how many reels use the audio, which is the count in the table above.

A high count with a Trending label usually means the audio is still rising. A high count without one often means it peaked earlier, so it is safer for a steady format than for a fast trend.

Business accounts on Instagram get a smaller music library than personal and creator accounts, so a trending song may not be offered to you. Before you film, open the Reels audio picker and search for the song. If it is not there, use the same idea with original audio or a song that is.

Some trending Instagram songs trend on TikTok first. To see what may reach Reels next, compare this list with popular TikTok songs this week.

Not every trending sound is a song. Many Reels trends ride original audio: a line of dialogue, a voiceover or a remix someone uploaded. You can use original audio from a public Reel by tapping the audio name, and it is usually open to business accounts when licensed music is not.

This week's example Reels, the most viewed first. Each is public and from an account with at least 10,000 followers; the counts are Instagram's own, on the day shown.

Instagram reels trends come in two kinds: audio-led trends, where the sound is the joke and people act it out, and format-led trends, where the structure travels with any sound. Both work for a business when the joke stays on the situation, never on a customer.

  1. Pick a trend whose idea fits something true about your business.
  2. Film it with your own team, product or space, and keep the words on screen for people watching on mute.
  3. Add the audio in Instagram when you post, so your Reel joins the audio's page.
  4. Post it while the trend is still rising: within a week of it appearing here.
  1. Open Reels and tap the audio name on a Reel you like. The audio page shows how many reels use it and the Trending arrow when Instagram marks it.
  2. In the Reels editor, open the audio picker: the Trending tab lists audio Instagram marks as trending for your account.
  3. Professional accounts in some countries can also check the Professional dashboard, where Instagram shows trending audio and hashtags.
  4. Or check this page every Monday: each week's audio is read on Instagram and dated.

Up to the last 8 weeks, newest first, with each week's trends and audio.

What are the Instagram trends this week?

The list at the top of this page, checked on Instagram each Monday. Each trend shows what people do, the Reels audio it uses with Instagram's own reel count, a real public Reel and how a business can use it.

How often is this list updated?

Every Monday. The date at the top of the page shows when the current week went up, and the archive keeps the last 8 weeks.

Where do the numbers come from?

From Instagram itself: the reel count on each audio's Reels page, the post count on each hashtag page, and the counts on each example Reel, all read on the day shown next to them. A count Instagram did not show is left out.

What does Trending mean next to an audio?

Instagram marks some Reels audio as Trending with an arrow. The audio table on this page says when Instagram showed that label on the day we checked.

Can a business account use trending audio on Instagram?

Not always. Business accounts get a smaller music library than personal accounts, so a song you hear on Reels may not be offered to you. Check the audio picker before you plan a Reel around it, or use original audio.

Are Instagram trends the same as TikTok trends?

They often overlap, and some Reels trends start on TikTok first. Compare this page with TikTok trends this week to see what is moving across.

How do I make an Instagram trend for my business?

Pick a trend whose idea fits your business, film the situation with your own team or product, and keep the words on screen. Postdom, the AI social media tool, can make it for you from your website and post the ones you approve.

Is this list free?

Yes. The page is free to read with no sign-up, and the weekly trends email is free too.
