For SaaS products
The social media scheduling API for your product
Postdom is a social media scheduling API for adding short-form video publishing to your product. Your app supplies the finished video and the accounts; Postdom schedules it, publishes it and reports each result.
Updated
A social media scheduling API lets your software schedule and publish posts to social platforms with code. Postdom's API takes the media, the accounts and a UTC time in one request, publishes to nine platforms and reports each result. Postdom is an AI social media tool that turns your website into short videos, slideshows and posts, then publishes them.
Schedule a post with one request
Send POST /v1/posts with the media, caption, target accounts, a UTC publish_at and an Idempotency-Key header. Retrying with the same key returns the original post instead of making a second one.

How the Postdom social media scheduling API works
- 01
Connect accounts
Your users connect their TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other accounts through Postdom.
- 02
Schedule a video
Call publishVideo with a video URL, the account IDs and a future UTC publishAt. Save the returned post ID.
- 03
Read the result
Call getPost(id) or use webhooks to see each destination's outcome.
What is a social media scheduling API?
A social media scheduling API lets your own software schedule and publish posts to social platforms with code, instead of someone posting by hand. Your product sends the media, the accounts and a time; the API publishes it and reports whether each post published or failed.
| Item | What you get |
|---|---|
| Schedule | publishVideo with a video URL, account IDs and a future UTC publishAt |
| Results | getPost(id), or webhooks, for each destination's outcome |
| Platforms | TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook Reels, X, Snapchat Stories, Threads and Bluesky |
| SDKs and tools | REST API, Node and Python SDKs, webhooks and an MCP server for AI agents |
| Price | Included on every plan, with a 7-day free trial |
Social media scheduling API, free for 7 days
Starter, Growth and Scale start with a 7-day free trial, so you can see posts made from your website before you pay. Cancel anytime. After the trial, Starter is $39 a month for 30 posts.
The REST API, the Node and Python SDKs, MCP and webhooks are included on every plan.
Paid plans continue past their monthly publish allowance at $0.20 per successful destination-publish.
Social media API
Postdom's social media API publishes to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook Reels, X, Snapchat Stories, Threads and Bluesky. It is built for publishing and results, not a social inbox or data collection from other accounts.
Each platform's limits and settings are in the destination references.
Social media posting API
Leave out publish_at and Postdom publishes as soon as the account's review settings allow. Add a UTC publish_at and the post is stored and sent at that time, so your server does not need to stay connected.
You set a review level for each account in Postdom. On an account that needs review, the response says the post is waiting for a person (requires_approval), and someone approves it in Postdom. An API key cannot approve its own posts.
Retrying with the same Idempotency-Key returns the original post instead of making a second one. The same key with a different body returns 409 idempotency_conflict.
Unified social media API
One key, nine platforms and one result model. List the accounts in targets, and Postdom reports a separate result for each one, so a failure on one platform never hides a success on another. Video and images, text-only posts on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Threads, and multi-image carousels on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn all use the same request body.
| Network | Text only | Video default | Image default |
|---|---|---|---|
| TikTok | Not supported | video | photo carousel |
| Not supported | reel | feed post | |
| YouTube | Not supported | video/Shorts | Not supported |
| Supported | post | post | |
| Not supported | reel | feed post | |
| X | Supported | post | post |
| Snapchat | Not supported | story (provider default) | story (provider default) |
| Threads | Supported | post | post |
| Bluesky | Supported | post | post |
Limits and settings for each platform are in the destination references.
Social media scheduling API questions
Is there a free social media scheduling API?
Yes, for 7 days. Starter, Growth and Scale start with a 7-day free trial, and the REST API is included on every plan. Cancel anytime.
Which platforms can I schedule to?
TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Facebook Reels, X, Snapchat Stories, Threads and Bluesky.
Does a scheduled post mean it published?
No. Read the post until each destination reports published or failed.
Can my product also make the posts?
Yes, slideshows: POST /v1/slideshows draws slides your product writes on the workspace brand kit. The videos Postdom writes from a website are made in the Postdom app, and the API publishes the media your product sends.
Can an AI agent use the social media scheduling API?
Yes. Postdom's MCP server lets an AI agent, such as one in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, publish and read results through the same account. It is included on every plan.
