AI social media tools pricing in 2026 has a median entry plan of $29 a month. We read the pricing and feature pages of 40 AI social media tools on 8 October 2026: 27 of the 33 with a public price start under $40, half take your website as input, and only 12 both read your website and post to your accounts for you. Postdom, which publishes this study, is one of the few that does both, at $39 a month for 30 posts, with a free plan.

Last checked: 8 and 9 October 2026. Prices are the cheapest paid plan on each vendor's own pricing page, billed monthly and in US dollars unless we say otherwise. We re-read 17 of the 40 pricing pages on 9 October 2026 and updated the two tools that had changed (Native and Sintra AI). Three tools only show an annual price, and six have no public price we could confirm.

Postdom is an AI social media tool that turns your website into short videos, slideshows and image posts in your brand, then schedules and publishes them to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and more. You approve what goes out, and it learns from your edits and views. AI agents connect through MCP. We sell one product in this market, so we kept the method simple and the same for every tool, including ours.

AI social media tools pricing: the numbers

An AI social media tool is software that uses AI to make posts, videos or captions for social media, and sometimes to schedule and publish them. The 40 tools fall into four groups, and the price is similar across all four. What differs is what you get for it.

What the cheapest plan gets you

The entry price hides big differences in volume. Where a vendor states how many posts or videos the cheapest plan includes, the cost per post ranges from about $0.50 to $1.35.

Faceless.video$20 a month (Starter)15 videos$1.33Yes, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram
ShortGenius$39 a month (Standard)1 post a day (30 credits)about $1.30Yes, 5 platforms

Postdom is not the cheapest per post. The slideshow tools win on volume for TikTok alone. Postdom's price covers three formats from one read of your website, posting to nine platforms, and an approval step for every post. AI social media tools with a free plan

19 of the 40 AI social media tools with a free plan or free credits let you start without paying. 4 have a lasting free plan, and 15 give free credits or a few free posts. Another 14 offer only a time-limited free period or a paid $1 start, and 7 have nothing free at all, including Holo, Genviral and ShortGenius.

Free credits run out. A lasting free plan does not. Postdom's Free plan is permanent: 1 post a month on 2 accounts on any platform, no card. That is thinner than some free allowances: tday gives 100 credits every month, and Fastlane, Spread Out and Agent Opus give one-off free credits. Postdom's does not run out, and it posts to your real accounts after you approve.

Which tools take your website

20 of the 40 tools take your website address and build posts from it, and 3 more take a product link. This is the fastest-growing pitch in the market: paste your site, get a brand profile, approve posts. The other 17 start from a prompt, a script, your own clips or a product photo.

If you want posts that talk about your real services, prices and location, start with a tool that reads your website. Postdom reads your main pages once, shows which page each fact came from, and keeps making posts from them. See how on the website to video page.

Which tools actually post for you

27 of the 40 tools publish organic posts to your social accounts, and 2 more do so in part. The other 11 hand you a file or push an ad into Meta or TikTok's ads manager, so you still post it yourself.

Only 12 tools both read your website and post for you: Fastlane, Native, Holo, Blaze, Spread Out, PostPost.ai, tday, Marky, Revid.ai, CineRads, Slizo and Agent Opus. Postdom is the thirteenth. Among the 27 that post, the platforms they name on their own pages are mostly TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. At least 12 name LinkedIn, 6 name Threads, 5 name Bluesky and none name Snapchat. Some say "10 platforms" or "30 channels" without listing them, so these counts are a floor. Postdom posts to all nine: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky and Snapchat.

AI social media manager cost

An AI social media manager cost is the monthly price of a tool that makes your posts and publishes them. In this study that is $19 to $79 a month for the entry plan of the website-to-posts tools that post for you (tday at $19, Native and Blaze at $79), with a median of $29. Postdom is $39 a month on Starter, $99 on Growth for 60 posts and 10 accounts, and $0 on Free.

Watch three things beyond the price: how many posts the plan really makes, how many accounts it connects, and whether you approve each post or it posts on its own. Predis.ai, for example, only auto-posts from its $55 Rise plan (Predis.ai pricing page, read 8 October 2026).

AI vs hiring a social media manager

On price alone, AI vs hiring a social media manager is not close. A social media agency averages $5,107 a month (Clutch, Social Media Marketing Pricing, updated 21 September 2026). A freelancer costs $100 to $5,000 a month (WebFX, Social Media Management Pricing, published 27 February 2026). A US public relations specialist, the closest category the government tracks, earns a median $74,750 a year, about $6,229 a month (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2025 wages).

A person still does things these tools do not: they reply to comments, film on location, build relationships and run paid campaigns. AI tools make and post the steady stream of content. Many small businesses use both: a tool for daily posts, and a person for what only a person can do.

How to choose an AI social media tool on price

Price follows the job. Content creation tools, which make the posts, start around $19 to $79 a month. Schedulers that add AI writing to posts you make, such as Buffer (from $5 a channel a month billed yearly) and Hootsuite (from $99 a month), price by channel or by user, so the bill grows with your team. Tools for analytics, social listening and team inboxes cost more again, and agencies pay per brand or per seat (Buffer and Hootsuite pricing pages, read 9 October 2026).

  • One business, few accounts, no time to make posts: a tool that makes and posts content. Postdom Starter is $39 a month for 30 posts on 3 accounts.
  • You make the posts and only need them scheduled: a scheduler. Buffer Free covers 3 channels.
  • A team or agency with many brands: check the per-seat and per-brand costs first. Postdom Scale is $229 a month for 150 posts on 20 accounts, with no per-seat fee on the pricing page.

How we built this study

  • The tools. 40 live products that make social posts or short videos with AI, from our competitor review of 8 October 2026, in four groups. Postdom is shown for comparison but is not counted in the 40.
  • The price. The cheapest paid plan on the vendor's own pricing page, billed monthly. Three tools only show an annual price (Predis.ai $24, Tagshop AI $14, Topview $18), and we used it. Six have no public price we could confirm (Pippit, Spread Out, AutoShorts.ai, Arcads, Higgsfield and Bluma) and Pomelli is free, so the median uses 33 tools.
  • Free. "Free plan or free credits" means you can start without paying anything. A free period that ends, or a $1 paid start, is counted separately.
  • Website and posting. A tool "takes your website" if its product pages say you can start from your site's address. It "posts for you" if it publishes organic posts to your own accounts, not only ads or downloads.
  • Limits. Prices change often, and some vendors run promotions. Check the vendor's page before you buy. We will refresh this study every quarter.
